Hi everyone 🙂
Just here to give you an update! I last left you on a slightly gloomy note; I wasn’t sure if I could keep writing full-time. The last couple of months have all been about that decision and how practical or ‘possible’ it was to continue. And there’s been quite a bit of personal upheaval in that time too. Yet, today I can tell you without a shadow of a doubt that I will/am continuing as a full-time author. I would’ve always kept writing, but my readers would’ve had to wait longer in-between publications. And I don’t know how it might’ve impacted my writing.
But due to a few very special people in my life, I can keep going. And of course, I also owe a huge debt to my readers. The response to A Kingdom of Exiles has in some ways been overwhelming. And thank you so much to anyone kind enough to leave a review on Goodreads and Amazon, or who have sent me messages through Facebook, Twitter or email. They kept me going in the toughest of times.
So, to all of those who in their own ways have given me the opportunity to continue to write–I am so very, very grateful.
Now, on to the exciting part! I am now writing the sequels to A Kingdom of Exiles and to Draken. However, I’m fairly sure that the Exiles sequel will be out first. It’s difficult to predict, but I think we’ll be looking at a December release date. Although, I’m working hard to bring it out as soon as possible, the most important thing is that the book is as good as it can be. Also, the title of the sequel is hinted at above! I won’t be releasing the title just yet, as I prefer to do that with the cover art. I think it’s more exciting that way.
Lastly, the Exiles audiobook will be coming out in about 8-to-9 weeks! :). I didn’t think when I put up for audition that I’d have such a great response, but to be honest, I didn’t have to search long for the ‘one.’ There was one person who really captured the warmth and strength of Serena’s character in her voice. And I think listening to it for the first time will be a super-duper special experience.
And with that, I’ll sign off.
Until next time!
